Is there anyway to secure a trade between guru and in game?

There have been multiple times that I have sold something on guru, and someone in game told the person that was buying the item, that it was me.
Also the same case that I wanted to buy stuff and people post on here only to have someone take the item that was offered to me.

Any ideas?

Be more specific in your auction?

Only sell to people with good feedback?

Keep to your word?

There really is no way to secure a trade between the two, unless ANet linked the two together, and I can't see that happening unless they have control over the auctions system, which I also doubt will happen. You just have to hope that people are honest to their word and know what kind of transaction they're making.

Otherwise, just sell to other players from inside the game.
